Sienna turn signal issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Toyota Sienna Hybrid is experiencing a turn signal issue, with error messages appearing on the speedometer and a fault in the lighting. The problem could be due to a simple bulb issue or a more complex electrical fault, such as a defective cable or plug connection. Suggestions include checking the flasher relay and considering a bulb replacement. Ultimately, a visit to a workshop confirmed a defective cable/plug connection, which was repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the flasher relay yet. Where exactly is that located on the Sienna? And is there a specific type of lamp I should be looking for when considering a bulb replacement? I don't want to buy the wrong one.

On my Volvo it was indeed the connector that was faulty. In your case, I can't give you exact details where to find the parts in your car, but considering that you see a fault in the lighting itself as well as error messages, I'd suggest going to a workshop to check the electrics and replace the turn indicator. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right – it was a defective cable/plug connection. They fixed it for 95€. Everything's working perfectly now! Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Volvo XC60. The error messages and lighting fault were a real pain. Based on the symptoms, it could be a defective cable or plug connection to the turn signal component. Have you checked the flasher relay or considered a simple lamp replacement to rule out the obvious?
