Sienna turn signal issue

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2021 Toyota Sienna Hybrid. It's got 142161 km on it. The turn signal lamp is acting up! I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, plus an error message pops up on the speedometer, and obviously, there's a fault in the lighting itself. Could this be a simple bulb issue or something more sinister? Any ideas before I start tearing things apart?

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Volvo XC60. The error messages and lighting fault were a real pain. Based on the symptoms, it could be a defective cable or plug connection to the turn signal component. Have you checked the flasher relay or considered a simple lamp replacement to rule out the obvious?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the flasher relay yet. Where exactly is that located on the Sienna? And is there a specific type of lamp I should be looking for when considering a bulb replacement? I don't want to buy the wrong one.

On my Volvo it was indeed the connector that was faulty. In your case, I can't give you exact details where to find the parts in your car, but considering that you see a fault in the lighting itself as well as error messages, I'd suggest going to a workshop to check the electrics and replace the turn indicator. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right – it was a defective cable/plug connection. They fixed it for 95€. Everything's working perfectly now! Appreciate the help!
