Skoda Citigo Cruise Control Failure

My cruise control suddenly stopped working in my 2019 Skoda Citigo with a gasoline engine. It has about 46999 km on it. Now there's an error stored in the error memory, but I don't know where to start looking. Could it be the clock spring or something related to the steering wheel? I've heard those can sometimes cause issues.

I experienced something similar with my Citigo. Does the dashboard light illuminate when you try to engage cruise control? Have you checked the fuse box? I would check if the brake light switch is working correctly, as it's connected to the cruise control system.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did not check the fuse box. Where exactly is the fuse for the cruise control located? And how do I check the brake light switch?

I am not sure about the exact location of the fuse. The brake light switch can be visually checked to see if it activates the brake lights when the pedal is pressed. However, I recommend you take the car to a qualified workshop to get it checked. It seems like a cable or plug connection of the component might be defective, which is what happened to me.

Took the Citigo to a workshop and they found a defective cable connection as suspected. The repair cost 95€, so thanks a lot for your help!
