Skoda Citigo Electric Airbag Warning Lamp Issue
Summary of the thread
The airbag warning lamp in a 2020 Skoda Citigo electric was constantly on, suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection. This issue raised concerns about a potential link to an airbag recall and automotive safety. A similar problem in a Renault Clio was resolved by addressing a corroded connector on a crash sensor. The suggested solution was to have the connections checked by a professional, which led to the identification and repair of a faulty connection to the crash sensor, resolving the issue.

Interesting. Where exactly did you find the corroded connector on your Clio? Was it easy to access?

On the Clio, it was behind the front bumper, near the headlight. Not super easy to get to, but doable with some basic tools. Given the car safety aspect and potential for airbag deployment failure, I'd strongly recommend getting it checked by a professional. Could save you a headache and ensure proper airbag deployment in a crash. It might just be a simple fix, but better safe than sorry.

Took it to the shop. You were right, it was a faulty connection to the crash sensor. 95€ later and the light is gone. Thanks again for the help!

I had a similar issue with my Renault Clio. The airbag light kept popping on. It turned out to be a corroded connector on one of the crash sensors. Think of it like a loose wire on a light bulb – sometimes it makes contact, sometimes it doesn't. Have you checked the connections to your crash sensors? They are usually behind the bumper or under the seats.
