Skoda Citigo Electric Key Issues

Thanks for the quick response! No, the error message is pretty generic, it just says something like Key Fault Check Manual. I only have one key for the car, so I can't test another one.

That sounds more and more like the key battery. The fact that keyless access is failing is a strong indicator. The key battery low warning is your smoking gun! While it could be a more complex issue, like a fault in the car's receiver, the simplest and most likely explanation is a low battery. Replacing the battery is a cheap fix and the logical first step. If that doesn't resolve it, then you might need to visit a workshop.

It was just the key battery. I replaced it myself, the battery was about 37€ at the local parts store, and everything is working now. Thanks for the confirmation and advice!

Sounds like a classic low key battery issue. When the voltage drops, the keyfob can struggle to communicate with the car, especially for keyless entry. Does the error message specify anything about low voltage or something similar? Sometimes it gives a more specific hint. Also, does the spare key work correctly?
