Skoda Citigo Electric reduced engine power
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Citigo electric vehicle experienced reduced engine power and a check engine light, suspected to be due to a defective throttle valve or accelerator pedal module. The issue was similar to a problem with a Vauxhall Corsa, which was traced to the throttle sensor. After diagnosis, the Skoda's problem was confirmed to be the throttle sensor, which was replaced, resolving the issue.

Fuel efficiency has taken a hit, yeah. How did you pinpoint the throttle sensor on your Corsa? Was there a noticeable response delay or engine idling issues?

Yeah, I had response delay and rough engine idling. The codes pointed to the throttle body but the culprit was the throttle sensor. I'd suggest getting it properly diagnosed. Is it something you can handle yourself or are you planning to take it to a workshop?

Thanks for the input. Took it to a local mechanic and you were right. It was the throttle sensor. New one fitted, cost 265€, and it's running smoothly again.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Vauxhall Corsa. Reduced power, check engine light, the works. Was it affecting your fuel efficiency too? Have you checked the throttle sensor?
