Skoda Citigo Electric Temperature Sensor Problems

Alright, I'm having a weird issue with my 2020 Skoda Citigo electric. The outside temperature sensor seems to be playing up, with a fault code stored. It's done 144180 km. The air conditioning won't switch on, the spray nozzles are freezing, and the mirror heating is dead. From what I've read, it's likely a cable or plug connection issue with the outside temperature sensor. Anyone else seen this before? Is sensor calibration needed after this?

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues on my Citigo. Check the wiring to the outside temperature sensor first. Seems like a common fault. Is your vehicle temperature gauge acting weird too?

Did you have the same error code stored? And what exactly was wrong with the wiring? Was it just a loose plug, or a damaged cable?

Yeah, same error code, if I remember correctly. For me, it was a corroded connector. I tried cleaning it, but no joy. Bit of a pain, but the workshop sorted it quick enough. Probably best to get it checked rather than messing about too much with sensor diagnostics.

Thanks, that's cleared things up. Turned out to be a dodgy connection as you suspected. 95€ later and all sorted. Appreciate the help!
