Skoda Citigo Heating Problems

My 2020 Skoda Citigo with a gasoline engine is having heating problems. The heating output is too low, and there's an error stored in the error memory. I suspect a defective automotive valve, specifically the water valve. I'm thinking the cable or plug connection is the likely cause. Has anyone experienced this before?

I had a similar issue with my Citigo. Check the water valve, especially the electrical connector. Is there any coolant leak?

Where exactly is the water valve located in the cooling system? And could a faulty heater core also cause these symptoms?

It's near the firewall, controlling coolant flow to the heater core. A faulty heater core could contribute, but the error code and low heat point to the water valve. I would suggest letting it be checked in the workshop.

Thanks for the info. I had the water valve replaced at the workshop, and the heating is working properly again. The error memory is clear now too. Total cost was 95€, as expected.
