Skoda Citigo Oil Pressure Warning Light
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Citigo owner experienced an intermittent oil pressure warning light and suspected a faulty engine oil temperature sensor or its cable connection. Another individual with a similar issue suggested checking the oil level, which was not the problem in this case. The issue was confirmed to be a defective cable connection to the sensor, and after repair, the problem was resolved.

Thanks for your reply. I checked the oil level, and it seems to be correct. Is there any other area, besides the oil level, where the issue was in your case?

Yes, in my case, the fault was indeed related to the temperature sensor. I would recommend visiting a workshop to get it checked. They can accurately diagnose the problem and replace the sensor if needed. It's better to address it sooner rather than later to avoid potential engine damage.

Thank you for your help. As you suggested, I visited a workshop, and the diagnosis confirmed a defective cable connection to the engine oil temperature sensor. The repair cost me 95€, and the issue is now resolved.

I had a similar issue with my Citigo. The oil pressure light kept coming on intermittently. Have you checked the oil level itself? Sometimes a slightly low level can trigger the sensor. It is like when your phone shows low battery when it still has some charge left.
