Skoda Citigo rough running issue

Rough running and the check engine light often point to ignition issues. I had a similar experience with my old Renault Megane. Misfire, check engine light, jerking when accelerating... Same symptoms. I would check the coil pack and spark plugs before anything else. Have you checked the spark plugs?

Interesting. When you say check the coil pack, what exactly do you mean? Is there a way to test it, or is it more of a visual inspection for damage or loose connections?

Visually inspect the coil pack for cracks or damage. Look for corrosion on the connectors. Ideally, you'd test it with a multimeter, but if you're not comfortable with that, a workshop can diagnose it quickly. Given the symptoms and your suspicion, a coil failure is highly probable. I ended up just replacing mine on the Renault, and it solved the problem. You should go to the workshop to replace the faulty component.

Confirmed it was indeed the ignition coil. The cable connection was faulty as suspected. Replaced the coil pack, and the Citigo is running smoothly again. Total cost was 95€.
