Skoda Citigo Seat Heater Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Citigo owner reported a non-functional seat heater with an error stored in the memory, suspecting a defective seat heating mat. Another individual with a similar experience suggested checking the thermal sensor, as a faulty sensor could also cause such issues. However, the problem was ultimately identified as a faulty seat heating mat, which required professional repair.

Thank you for your reply. I had not considered the thermal sensor as a potential source. Do you recall if the error presented similarly? Did your seat heater also fail to get warm, or were there other symptoms?

Indeed, it was behaving almost identically. The seat heater remained cold, and there was an error code related to the heating element. Ended up being a faulty seat heating mat. If you're getting a similar error, it might be worth having it checked out by a workshop, it's probably an automotive repair. Saves you the headache of poking around yourself.

Understood. It appears the heating element was indeed the culprit. Automotive repair including replacement was completed at a cost of 390€. Thank you for your input.

Faulty seat warmer, eh? I had a similar issue crop up in my Citigo not too long ago. Did you happen to check the thermal sensor? Sometimes a dodgy sensor can throw a code even if the seat heater itself is kaput. Any idea what the specific error code was?
