Skoda Citigo Seat Heater Problem

I am writing regarding a perplexing issue in my 2020 Skoda Citigo with a gasoline engine. The seat heating function has ceased to operate. The seat heater does not get warm, and an error is stored in the error memory. Considering these symptoms, is it plausible that the seat heating mat is defective?

Faulty seat warmer, eh? I had a similar issue crop up in my Citigo not too long ago. Did you happen to check the thermal sensor? Sometimes a dodgy sensor can throw a code even if the seat heater itself is kaput. Any idea what the specific error code was?

Thank you for your reply. I had not considered the thermal sensor as a potential source. Do you recall if the error presented similarly? Did your seat heater also fail to get warm, or were there other symptoms?

Indeed, it was behaving almost identically. The seat heater remained cold, and there was an error code related to the heating element. Ended up being a faulty seat heating mat. If you're getting a similar error, it might be worth having it checked out by a workshop, it's probably an automotive repair. Saves you the headache of poking around yourself.

Understood. It appears the heating element was indeed the culprit. Automotive repair including replacement was completed at a cost of 390€. Thank you for your input.
