Skoda Fabia cruise control malfunction

I am writing to report a malfunction in my 2012 Skoda Fabia, equipped with a diesel engine. The cruise control has ceased functioning. The speedometer displays an error message, and predictably, the cruise control is non-functional. A diagnostic check reveals an error stored in the error memory, which, based on my assessment, points towards a defective cable or plug connection of the component, specifically the actuator within the car electronics system. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

I also own a Skoda Fabia with a diesel engine, and I had a similar problem with my cruise control. It just stopped working. Have you checked the fuse box? That was the issue in my case.

When you mention the fuse box, do you recall which fuse specifically was affected? Furthermore, did you also experience any error messages or was the cruise control simply non-functional?

Yes, I also had an error message in the speedometer. It was definitely a fuse related to the car electronics. I am not sure about the exact fuse number, but it was related to the cruise control system according to the workshop. I suggest checking it out or going straight to the workshop.

I appreciate you confirming this was the likely cause. I took it to a workshop, and indeed, a defective cable connection to the actuator was the culprit as expected. The final repair cost was 95€. Thank you for your help.
