Thanks for your reply! What exactly did you do to fix the DPF issues? Also, what do you mean by 'exhaust back pressure sensor'? I am a novice with these new emission control thingies...

Well, in my case it was the exhaust back pressure sensor indeed. It seems like it is a common problem for diesel engines. The sensor measures the pressure in the exhaust system. If it fails, it can cause all sorts of DPF issues, triggering that low pressure warning and affecting emission control. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to confirm. They will be able to diagnose the sensor or other potential problems!

Thank you for the help! I took the car to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the exhaust back pressure sensor. The entire repair cost 245€. Hopefully this fixes the problem with my Skoda Fabia's diesel engine.

Oh dear, that sounds familiar! I drive a Skoda Fabia too, and I had similar issues with my diesel engine a while back. Reduced power and smoke... very annoying. I think it might be linked to your DPF issues. The DPF is the Diesel Particulate Filter, which reduces soot emission.
