The engine light is on! When you say 'failed mount', do you mean the mounting bracket, or a related sensor? And what is the transmission mount?

By 'failed mount' I mean the mounting bracket that physically holds the engine. The transmission mount supports the transmission. Both reduce vibration. If the mechanic suspects a defective engine mount, trust their judgement. 95€ sounds reasonable. Visit the workshop.

Thanks for the help! You were spot on. The mechanic confirmed a defective engine mount, likely from a faulty connection. They replaced the mounting bracket, and the vibration is completely gone. The final bill was 95€, as estimated.

Whoa, that sounds like my Fabia! Is the engine light on? I'm no expert, but it could be a failed mount. These absorb engine vibrations, so failure causes bad vibrations. Has the mechanic checked the transmission mount?
