Thank you for your quick response! I am not very experienced. What do you mean by 'VAG-COM scan'? And where exactly are the fuses located in the Skoda Fabia? Any advice would be appreciated!

VAG-COM is basically a diagnostic tool that scans all the car's computers for error codes. It's way more detailed than your average OBD2 scanner. For the fuses, check your owner's manual, it should have a diagram. Honestly, with steering issues, I'd suggest a workshop visit. It's not something you want to mess with and risk your safety.

I wanted to say thank you for your help! As suggested, I took my Skoda Fabia to the workshop. It turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection. They fixed it for 95€. Everything works now!

Whoa, electric steering column adjustment issue, that's a bummer! I had a similar problem with my Skoda Fabia. It turned out to be a dodgy connection in the steering column. Did you check the fuses? Also, get a VAG-COM scan done, it might point you in the right direction!
