Skoda Fabia electrical issues
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Skoda Fabia with 85,230 km is experiencing sporadic electrical issues, primarily affecting the audio and navigation systems, with error lamps occasionally lighting up. The problem is suspected to be related to a defective control module connection to the BUS system. After diagnostics, it was confirmed to be a cable connection issue, which was resolved at a workshop, eliminating the errors and malfunction indicators.

Yes, sometimes the malfunction indicator lights up, and the navigation system freezes. Is that what happened to you? What did you do to fix it? Where was the error stored in the error memory?

That sounds very familiar. My issue was also intermittent. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. They need to look at the control module’s connection. It’s likely a cable issue.

Sharing my experience, it turned out to be the cable connection to the BUS system. The workshop confirmed it after running engine diagnostics. The repair set me back 155€, but the malfunction indicator and system failure are gone. The service required message is also gone.

I had similar issues with my Fabia. Sporadic errors, especially with the audio system. Does the malfunction indicator light up on yours? Have you run any engine diagnostics?
