Skoda Fabia engine issues
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Skoda Fabia with a gasoline engine is experiencing poor starts, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, uneven idling, and occasional stalling at 245,871 km. The suspected cause is a dirty or defective injection valve. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the injector, which restored engine performance and normalized fuel consumption and emissions.

When you say 'similar', was it exactly the same? Did you also experience stalling and a noticeable drop in engine performance? How did you finally resolve the issue?

Yes, stalling was an issue for me too, especially when the engine was cold. Definitely a performance hit. I tried some fuel additives, but it didn't solve the problem. Eventually, I had to get the injector replaced at a workshop. Save yourself some time and get it checked properly.

Thanks for the insight. I took it to a workshop and, as you predicted, it was a defective injection nozzle. Replacement cost me 515€. The car runs like new again, and fuel consumption is back to normal. Emissions are also much better.

Sounds like a dodgy injector. I had similar symptoms with my Fabia: difficult starts, rough idling, and I definitely noticed the performance drop. Check the simple things first, but it might be pointing that way.
