Summary of the thread
The 2023 Skoda Fabia experienced engine power loss and rough running, with a check engine light indicating an issue. A diagnostic tool identified a fault with the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. The problem was confirmed to be the defective IAT sensor, which was replaced at a workshop, resolving the issue and restoring smooth engine performance.

I used a diagnostic tool, and it showed a fault with the IAT sensor. I checked the wiring as best as I could, but I'm no expert. It looked okay to me. Was yours actually the sensor itself, or was it something else?

In my case, it was definitely the IAT sensor itself that was defective. If you've checked the wiring and the diagnostic tool points to the sensor, it's likely that's your problem too. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it diagnosed and replaced. They'll be able to confirm it and do the job right.

I took my Fabia to the workshop, and it was the IAT sensor. They replaced it, cleared the error, and now it's running smoothly again. Cost me 155€, but at least it's sorted. Thanks for your help.

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Skoda Fabia. Check engine light, rough idling. Did you use a diagnostic tool to read the error code? Mine pointed to the intake air temperature sensor. Have you checked the sensor's wiring or connection? Sometimes it's just a loose connection.
