Skoda Fabia Engine Stalling and Fuel Sensor Issue

I had a similar issue with my Fabia. Check engine light and stalling at idle sounds familiar. It could be the fuel sensor, but have you checked the fuel tank fuse? I'm not sure if yours has one, but it's worth a look before diving into sensor replacement.

Thanks for the suggestion! Where exactly would I find this fuse you're talking about? And would a defective fuse cause the fuel gauge to act erratically too?

The fuse box location should be in your car's manual. Yes, a faulty fuel sensor will definitely cause the fuel gauge to act up. I'd still check the fuse first, but it does sound like a faulty sensor. It's best to take it to a workshop to confirm.

It was a faulty fuel sensor. The workshop replaced it, and the car is running smoothly again. Total cost was 52€.
