Skoda Fabia fault memory lock active error
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Skoda Fabia displayed a 'fault memory lock active' error, although the car was driving normally. This issue was likely caused by an undervoltage, which can trigger transient errors in the vehicle's computer system. The recommended solution was to visit a workshop to clear the ECU fault, which resolved the problem.

The battery seems fine. I don't have equipment for advanced automotive diagnostics beyond a basic OBD reader. When you say 'computer system', are you referring to the infotainment or something more?

Undervoltage likely caused it. Without professional automotive diagnostics tools, it's best to take it to a workshop to clear the ECU fault. The computer system includes all the modules in the car.

My Fabia's auto repair shop visit confirmed undervoltage triggered the memory lock. They cleared the ECU fault, and now everything's running smoothly. The visit cost 240€. Thanks for the help.

Fault memory lock active usually indicates a transient issue. I would check the battery voltage and charging system. It could be a simple fix. Has there been any recent work done on the computer system?
