Skoda Fabia Knock Sensor Issue

Hmm, a defective knock sensor on a 2021 Fabia? That's relatively new for that to happen. Has the warning light been on for long? Could be a simple issue but those symptoms definitely sound like a knock sensor problem. Before replacing the sensor, have you checked the wiring and connections to the sensor itself? Sometimes it's just a loose or corroded connector causing the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the wiring myself, to be honest. I'm not really confident poking around there. Where exactly would I find the knock sensor and its connections? Is it something easily visible, or do I need to take things apart to get to it?

Okay, if you're not comfortable checking the wiring yourself, I understand. It can be tricky. Given the error code and the symptoms, it really does sound like the knock sensor or its connections are the culprit. Since it's a relatively new car, I would lean towards a connection issue. I am just a novice myself, so I would say you should probably visit a workshop.

Just wanted to let you know it was indeed the knock sensor. The auto repair shop checked the cable and plug connection first as you suggested and they found a defect there. They replaced the sensor and fixed the connection for 95€. The warning light is off and the engine runs smoothly again. Thanks a lot for your help!
