Skoda Fabia MOST Bus Fault
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Fabia owner reported a MOST bus fault causing the audio and navigation systems to fail. The error memory indicated a defect within a control unit on the bus. Another individual shared a similar experience, where the navigation system was identified as the source of the problem, sending corrupted data and disrupting the bus network. The suggested solution was to have a professional diagnose each control unit on the MOST bus to identify and fix the defective component, which resolved the issue.

Interesting. Could you elaborate on which control units were affected or how you diagnosed the navigation system as the source of the bus system problem?

Yes, the navigation system was the problem. The workshop confirmed it. They said the unit was sending corrupted data across the bus, disrupting the entire audio system. I would advise having a professional diagnose each control unit on the MOST bus to pinpoint the defective component.

Thank you for confirming my suspicion. The MOST bus fault was indeed the culprit. The audio system now works again. Repair cost was roughly 1000€. I hope this assists others facing a similar predicament.

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Fabia. Did you check the control units connected to the bus network? In my case, the issue was with the navigation system causing the entire data transmission to fail.
