Skoda Fabia Sun Blind Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Skoda Fabia owner reported a problem with the sun blind being stuck and an error stored in the memory, suspecting a motor issue. The problem was characterized by a faint whirring noise, suggesting the motor was attempting to function but failing. After checking the fuse and confirming it was fine, the consensus was that the motor was likely defective. The solution involved replacing the sun blind motor, which resolved the issue.

Good thought about the fuse, I should have mentioned that. Yes, fuse is fine, I did check. Noise-wise, there's a faint whirring sound, almost like the motor is trying, but can't quite manage. Any other thoughts?

A faint whirring definitely points to the motor. That's usually terminal. Sounds like you've covered the basics. Given the error code and the noise, replacing the whole sun blind is probably the only real option. Time to visit a workshop, I guess?

Just wanted to close the loop on this. You were spot on. Took it to the shop and they confirmed the sun blind motor was shot. 330€ later and it's working again. Thanks for the input.

Stuck sun blind is never fun. Is it making any noise when you try to use it? Have you checked the fuse?
