Skoda Fabia Sunroof Not Initialized Error
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Skoda Fabia is experiencing a "sunroof not initialized" error, causing the sunblind to be stuck and the convertible top to malfunction. The issue may stem from recent coding changes affecting the car's software, leading to a miscalibration of the sunroof system. The suggested solution is to have the sunroof reset using a diagnostics tool at a workshop, which resolved the problem.

Coding changes? What kind of coding changes could affect the car sunroof? I was unaware of this.

Yes, any adjustments made to the car's software, even seemingly unrelated ones, can sometimes impact other systems. If the sunroof calibration is off, it can cause these symptoms. I advise taking it to a workshop to have the car sunroof reset.

The sunroof needed a reset using a diagnostics tool. Apparently, some coding had scrambled things. The repair cost 75€. Thanks for the help.

I had a similar sunroof issue with my Skoda Fabia. The sunblind got stuck, and the sunroof was completely unresponsive. It might be worth checking if any recent coding changes were made to the car's computer. The sunroof operation can be quite sensitive to these changes.
