Skoda Fabia Tire Pressure Sensor Issue

I've got a bit of a head-scratcher with my 2018 Skoda Fabia diesel. Getting a 'Tire Pressure Too Low' error in the speedometer, even though the tires look okay. I checked them and the pressure is a bit low. Also, there's an error stored in the error memory. I'm thinking it might be the tire pressure sensor battery is empty? It's not a flat tire, and the air valve seems fine on visual inspection.

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Skoda Fabia is displaying a 'Tire Pressure Too Low' error, despite the tires appearing visually fine. The issue is suspected to be due to low tire pressure and a potential problem with the tire pressure sensor battery. The suggested solution is to have the sensors checked at a workshop, where it was confirmed that the sensor batteries were indeed the cause, leading to their replacement.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds like a faulty tire pressure sensor. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Kept getting low tire warnings even though the tire pressure was fine. Does the error message specify which tire is the problem, or is it a general warning?

It's a general warning, doesn't specify which tire. I did a tire check and the tire pressure seems a bit low in all tires but not a flat tire situation. Could it still be the sensors even if all tires are a bit low?

Yep, sounds exactly like what happened with my Astra. Even a slight pressure difference can trigger those sensors, especially with a weak battery. The sensors are usually in the air valve. Since the error is general, it could be more than one sensor acting up or the receiver unit itself. Best to get it checked at a workshop, they can pinpoint the exact cause with diagnostics. Like a smoke detector with low batteries, they start acting up!

Took the Fabia to a workshop, and you were right, it was the sensor batteries. Cost 280€ to replace. Thanks for the help!
