Skoda Fabia Turn Signal Malfunction

I'm having an issue with my Skoda Fabia, build year 2018 with a Gasoline engine, at 82865 km. The turn signal lamp is malfunctioning, triggering an error message and a fault indication in the lighting system. The error memory report suggests a defective cable or plug connection. Is this a known issue? The estimated repair cost is approximately 95€.

Electrical issues, huh? A common issue with modern lighting. Have you checked the bulb? Try wiggling the connector while the indicator is on to see if it flickers, that could confirm a loose connection. Do you know the specific error code? That would help pinpoint the problem. It could be a BCM issue, but hopefully not!

I replaced the bulb, but the error remains. I also tried wiggling the connector, but no luck. I don't have the exact error code. Could a faulty ground connection cause this?

A faulty ground is possible, but less likely if it's only affecting one indicator. Since you've replaced the bulb and checked the connector, it sounds like an electrical fault within the wiring harness or the connector. It's difficult to diagnose remotely without the error code. Considering the cost, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can diagnose the electrical fault and repair the defective connection. Is it worth risking further damage to the BCM? Probably not.

The workshop confirmed an electrical fault in the turn signal. A faulty connector was replaced, and the error is resolved. The final cost was 95€.
