Skoda Kamiq Automatic Gearbox Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues with its automatic gearbox, including non-responsive paddle shifters, slipping gears, grinding noises, and emergency mode activation. The suspected cause is a faulty transmission control module, as indicated by error memory. A workshop diagnosis confirmed the control module defect, and replacing it resolved the issues.

Yeah, there's an error stored. Something about the transmission control unit defective. Did you experience similar symptoms like the gears slipping or the paddle shifters not working?

Yep, same symptoms. Gears slipping, unclean shifts, emergency mode... Seems like electronic issues with the automotive ECU. If the error memory points to the control module, it's probably that. I'd suggest getting a proper transmission diagnosis at a workshop.

Thanks for the help! I took it to a workshop, and after a transmission diagnosis they confirmed it was the control module. They replaced it, recoded everything, and it seems to be running smoothly now. Cost me around 1000€, but at least it's fixed.

Sounds similar to an issue I had with my Kamiq. The automatic gearbox was acting up. Could be the control module. Have you checked the error memory?
