Skoda Kamiq Brake Light Error
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Kamiq owner experienced a brake light error message, with the brake lights not functioning, possibly due to a bad brake light switch. The issue was suspected to be triggered by accidentally pressing the brake pedal while starting the engine. After clearing the error code, the problem did not reoccur, indicating that the accidental pedal press was the likely cause, and no further repairs were needed.

Thanks for the quick reply. No recent brake work. Is there a specific sensor I should be checking, or is the brake light switch the more likely culprit?

I had the same error from accidentally pressing the brake when starting. The shop cleared the code, and it hasn't come back. If you're not sure, a shop visit is a good idea. But yeah, could be a bad switch.

Turns out, it was from accidentally hitting the brake pedal while starting. I cleared the error, and it hasn't come back. Thanks for suggesting a workshop, but I didn't need it. Repair cost was 0€.

I had something similar happen with my Kamiq. See if the brake lights are really out or if it's just a sensor acting up. Have you had any brake work done recently?
