Skoda Kamiq Damping Adjustment Issue

Hoping someone can help me diagnose a weird issue with my 2020 Skoda Kamiq with a Gasoline engine. It's got about 56932 km on the clock, and I'm getting an error stored in the error memory plus a warning light in the speedometer relating to the damping adjustment. The ride is awful; super bumpy. From what I've read, it could be a defective cable or plug connection to the damping control. Anyone experienced something similar affecting vehicle suspension?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had something similar happen in my Kamiq, though I can't remember the exact mileage. Bumpy ride and the error light were driving me nuts! It felt like I was riding a donkey rather than enjoying the usual car handling. Was the error message specific about the damping adjustment?

Yeah, the error was pretty specific – something about the damping adjustment on the rear axle. Did yours point to a particular axle as well? And did they mention anything about the cable or plug connection, or did they jump straight to replacing parts of the suspension system?

Yep, mine was also related to a connection issue in the vehicle suspension! They checked the cables first, found a loose plug, and that fixed it. I’d definitely suggest having them check the connections before they start talking about replacing the whole suspension system or anything expensive. Honestly, dealing with suspension problems is so frustrating. Just get it to the shop!

Just wanted to say thanks for your help. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was a faulty connection in the suspension system's damping control. They sorted it out for 95€, and now the ride comfort is back to normal. Appreciate the quick diagnosis!
