Skoda Kamiq Diesel engine issues

I am writing to inquire about a problem I am experiencing with my 2019 Skoda Kamiq diesel. The vehicle has approximately 197357 km. The check engine light has illuminated, and I am observing several concerning symptoms including jerking during acceleration, a distinct whistling noise, a loud hissing sound upon acceleration, occasional engine stalls at idle, increased fuel consumption, and a noticeable reduction in engine power. Could a defective turbo boost pressure sensor be the cause? Could the cable or plug connection of the component defective?

I also have a Skoda Kamiq and experienced similar issues. The jerking, whistling, and check engine light sound very familiar. Have you checked the intake manifold in conjunction with the turbo boost pressure sensor? Is the hissing particularly loud when the engine is under load?

I have not checked the intake manifold. Where exactly is the turbo boost pressure sensor located, and how would I check it for defects?

Based on my experience, it is very likely a faulty cable or connection to the pressure sensor. My hissing was quite loud. If you are not comfortable checking the sensor and intake manifold yourself, I suggest taking it to a workshop for diagnosis. They should be able to pinpoint the issue quickly.

The defective cable was indeed the problem, just as you suspected. After replacing it, the engine light is now off, and the Skoda Kamiq is running smoothly again. The cost was 95€.
