Skoda Kamiq Diesel Engine Running Lean
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Skoda Kamiq diesel with 151,995 km is experiencing issues with the engine running lean, resulting in reduced power, a check engine light, rough running, and jerking during acceleration. Initial checks on the mass air flow sensor, catalytic converter, EGR valve, and spark plugs did not resolve the issue. A suggestion to inspect the fuel injectors led to the discovery of a defective injector, which, once replaced, resolved the problem.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Fuel injectors, huh? Interesting. Was it obvious that they were the problem, or were there other things you checked first?

Well, I initially suspected the same things you did, like the mass air flow sensor. But the issue persisted. Eventually, the diagnostic pointed directly to one of the fuel injectors malfunctioning. If you're experiencing similar symptoms after checking the usual suspects, I'd recommend getting the injectors properly tested. Could save you some time and frustration to get it checked out by a workshop.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. It was indeed a defective fuel injector! Got it replaced, cost me 515€. Runs like new now, what a relief!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my Kamiq. Check engine light, rough running, and a noticeable drop in power. Has anyone checked the fuel injectors?
