Skoda Kamiq Diesel Issues Gear Display and Cruise Control

I'm having trouble with my 2020 Skoda Kamiq diesel, which has a lot of kilometers on it. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory. The gear selection display in the speedometer is not working, the cruise control is dead, and sometimes the engine refuses to start. I suspect it might be a faulty clutch switch, possibly a cable or plug connection problem. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I had a similar issue with my Kamiq: error codes, cruise control not working, and sometimes it wouldn't start. Have you checked the clutch switch itself? Use a multimeter to check the continuity when the pedal is pressed and released. The gear selector display issue is likely related, since it uses the clutch position sensor.

Thanks, that's helpful. Where is the clutch switch located, and how difficult is it to access? Also, did your gear selector display show the gear all the time, or was it intermittent?

Yes, my gear selector display was constantly showing a gear, even in neutral. The clutch switch is located near the clutch pedal; you should be able to see it if you look under the dashboard. While it might be a simple fix, I recommend having a workshop take a look. A faulty switch can prevent the car from starting, as it's a safety feature.

You were right. I went to a workshop, and they confirmed the switch was faulty and found a loose connection. They replaced the clutch pedal switch for 95€, and now everything is working. Thanks for the assistance.
