Skoda Kamiq Diesel Low Battery Issue
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Kamiq owner experienced a persistent 'low battery' error message and weak or flickering lights, despite the car having only 62,365 km. The issue was suspected to be a continuous battery drain, potentially due to a defective battery sensor. After consulting a local garage and receiving advice to visit a Skoda specialist, it was confirmed that the battery sensor was indeed faulty, leading to the battery issues. The repair cost for replacing the defective sensor was 315€.

I did check the battery terminals, and they seemed okay, but I'm no expert. Regarding your question about driving habits, most of my trips are indeed short, maybe 15-20 minutes at most. Could that really cause such a significant battery drain? I've also tried battery charging with an external charger, but it didn't seem to help much.

Short trips combined with a potentially faulty battery sensor could certainly explain the discharged battery issue. While external battery charging might provide temporary relief, it won't address the underlying problem if the sensor is indeed defective. Given the error code and the symptoms you're describing, I would strongly suggest taking it to a Skoda specialist. They can properly diagnose the sensor and determine if it's the root cause of the battery drain.

The workshop confirmed the battery sensor was defective and causing the discharged battery. The final repair cost was 315€.

A discharged battery in a relatively new car like yours is definitely concerning. Have you checked the battery terminals for any corrosion or loose connections? Also, how often do you drive the car, and for how long? Short trips can prevent the battery from fully charging, leading to a low battery situation.
