Cheers for the quick reply! The error code was pretty generic, just said 'mirror heater circuit fault'. I did check the fuses, and they seem fine, but could one still be faulty even if it looks okay? Any tips on how to properly test them before I start ripping the car mirror apart?

Yeah, fuses can be sneaky like that. Sometimes they look fine but have a hairline crack that breaks the connection. Best way is to test with a multimeter if you have one. But honestly, since you've already got an error code and you're not seeing any heat, and you suspect the wiring, 95€ to get it sorted at a workshop doesn't sound too bad. Saves you the hassle of potentially breaking the car mirror during a DIY fix. At least you'll have fully functional heated mirrors for safe winter driving.

Took my 2023 Skoda Kamiq Diesel to the local workshop. You were spot on! Turns out it was a dodgy connection in the car mirror. 95€ all in, and now my mirrors are toasty again. So glad it wasn't anything major. Thanks for the help!

That's a bummer about your Skoda Kamiq's mirror heating playing up, especially with winter driving just around the corner. Had similar issues on my old Octavia once. You mentioned an error code – did it point to a specific side or just a generic 'mirror heater malfunction'? Have you checked the fuses? It's always worth starting with the simple stuff before diving into mirror replacement.
