Skoda Kamiq engine problems
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine is experiencing engine problems, including a check engine light, stalling at idle, and reduced power. The suspected cause is an issue with the fuel injection system, particularly the fuel volume regulator, possibly due to a defective high-pressure fuel pump. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle checked by a professional, as these issues can affect fuel efficiency and may require specialized tools for diagnosis and repair. The problem was confirmed to be the fuel volume regulator, which was resolved at a cost of 1510€.

Car sensors, yeah. Where should I start? Is there a particular sensor that's more likely to cause these issues? Could this also affect my fuel efficiency? I'm filling up way more often than usual.

Definitely sounds like the fuel volume regulator. It's connected to the high-pressure fuel pump, and if that pump is failing, it'll mess with the regulator's performance. Yes, it will affect fuel efficiency. Best to get it checked by a workshop, as it requires specialized tools and knowledge to diagnose and replace. Do not keep driving like that, you might damage something else.

Just got the Kamiq back from the shop. It was the fuel volume regulator like you suspected, caused by a defective high-pressure pump. Cost me 1510€ to get it sorted. At least the check engine light is off now, and I'm hoping my fuel efficiency goes back to normal. Really appreciate you sharing your experience!

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia, although the mileage was lower when it happened. The check engine light and stalling are classic symptoms. Have you checked the car sensors, especially related to fuel injection? A faulty fuel volume regulator can definitely cause those problems.
