Skoda Kamiq Engine Running Rough
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine is experiencing rough running, stalling when idling, and jerking during acceleration, accompanied by a check engine light. The initial suspicion is a coil failure, as cable and plug connections appear fine. A workshop visit confirms a defective ignition coil, which, once replaced, resolves the issue, restoring the car's performance.

Interesting! How did you figure out it was the coil pack on your Clio? And did you have the engine stalling too? I'm a bit lost with this engine hesitation issue.

Yeah, the engine stalling was the worst part! It would just randomly die at traffic lights. The garage ran a diagnostic and that pointed to the coil pack. Honestly, I'm not mechanically gifted, so I just took it straight to a workshop after that. Maybe get yours checked out by someone who knows their stuff? Could save you a lot of headache.

Just wanted to say the workshop visit confirmed a defective ignition coil. They replaced it for 95€. Runs like new! Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it!

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had a similar problem with my old Renault Clio, check engine light and all. For me, it turned out to be a dodgy coil pack. Have you looked at those at all? I'm no expert, just wondering.
