Skoda Kamiq fog sensor issue affecting multiple systems
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Kamiq owner reported a persistent fog sensor error affecting multiple systems, including air conditioning, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. Preliminary diagnostics suggested a defective cable or plug connection as the likely cause. After consulting a workshop, the issue was confirmed to be a cable problem with the fog sensor, and repairs restored all affected systems to proper functionality.

I haven't checked the fuses yet, to be honest. Where exactly would I find the fuse for the fog sensor in the Kamiq? And would a blown fuse really cause all those problems, even with the air conditioning and mirror heating?

Yes, in my case it was indeed the fuse. However, considering you've already identified a potential cable or plug issue, and the fact that so many systems are affected, it might be more complex. I would recommend getting it checked by a professional to rule out any deeper underlying electrical issue. A proper diagnostic check should pinpoint it rather quickly.

I took it to a local workshop, and they confirmed the cable issue with the fog sensor. The visibility is great again, the climate control works as intended, and the heating in the mirrors works too. The final bill came in at 95€ – exactly what I expected.

That's quite a list of symptoms. It sounds like more than just a faulty sensor, doesn’t it? I had a similar electrical issue with my Volvo a while back affecting multiple seemingly unrelated systems. Did you check the relevant fuses? A blown fuse can sometimes cause a cascade of problems.
