Cheers! 'CAN bus'? Sorry, my knowledge is pretty limited. Where exactly do I find the connector and bulb? Is it easy to get to, or do I need to take half the car apart?

Yeah, the CAN bus is basically how all the car's computers talk to each other. If the indicator signal lamp isn't communicating correctly, it throws an error. The connector and bulb are usually inside the tail light assembly. It's usually accessible from inside the trunk, behind a panel. If you're not comfortable fiddling with it, I'd suggest hitting up a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and avoid any further damage to the electricals. A broken lens wouldn't cause a CAN bus error, so it's likely the cable.

Thanks! Took it to the shop, and you nailed it. They found a dodgy connector on the indicator light. 95€ later and it's all sorted.

Sounds like a classic case of bad automotive lighting connections, especially with that mileage. The CAN bus is probably throwing a code because it's not seeing the correct resistance from the indicator light. Have you checked the bulb itself and the connector for corrosion or damage?
