Skoda Kamiq injection fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues such as higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling at idle, and emitting smoke during acceleration, suggesting a potential injection system fault. The problem may be caused by loose or corroded injector wiring and connectors, which can disrupt the ECU's function. It is advised to inspect these connections, but if unfamiliar with the process, consulting a professional workshop is recommended to avoid further complications.

Cheers for the reply. Where exactly are the injector connectors located? I'm no petrol head, but I can have a gander if you point me in the right direction.

They're on top of the engine, connected to each injector. But honestly, if you're not familiar, you're better off taking it to a workshop. Messing with fuel injection without knowing what you're doing can cause more problems. Mine was a loose connection on cylinder 3. Shop diagnosed it quickly. Might save you a headache.

Right you are. Just picked it up. Turns out it was a dodgy connection, like you said. 95€ and I'm back on the road. Cheers for the heads-up!

Kamiq, eh? Had a similar issue with mine. Symptoms sound spot on. Check your injector wiring and connectors. They're known to be a bit flimsy. Could be a loose plug or corroded terminal causing the ECU to throw a fit. Has the fuel consumption gone up a lot?
