Thanks for the quick reply! How did you figure out it was the radiator fan? Was it obvious, like a completely broken fan blade, or something more subtle? Did you also have the check engine light?

Yes, the check engine light was on. Initially, I suspected a car radiator problem. However, the mechanics found out that the speed sensor of the radiator fan was defective. They checked the thermal switch as well, but that was fine. I'd suggest having the sensor checked out.

Took it to the workshop. You were spot on! Turns out the speed sensor on the radiator fan was indeed faulty. New sensor, 250€ lighter, and the Kamiq is back to its old self. Thanks a bunch for your help!

I had a similar issue with my Kamiq. Check the radiator fan. Is the fan noise excessive? Maybe a defective thermal switch or a broken fan blade could be the culprit for the overheating and the check engine light.
