Skoda Kamiq Parking Assist Problem

My Skoda Kamiq built in and with a diesel engine has developed a fault with the parking assist. It's throwing up an error and the system is non-functional. From what I've read, it could be a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone had a similar experience? What should I expect?

Parking assist issues are common. Have you checked the radar sensors? I had similar symptoms on my Kamiq, and it turned out to be a faulty connection. Are you familiar with checking the connections?

Radar sensors, eh? Where exactly are they located, and is it something I can realistically check myself without specialist tools?

The radar sensors for the parking assist are typically located in the rear bumper, sometimes also in the front. A visual inspection for damaged wiring or loose connections is possible, but without diagnostic tools, pinpointing the exact faulty sensor will be difficult. The stored error code would point to the area. It is probably best to visit a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a garage, and it was indeed a bad connection to one of the radar sensors, just like you said. 95€ and it's all sorted. I appreciate it.
