Skoda Kamiq Power Tailgate Problem

I'm experiencing an issue with the power tailgate on my 2020 Skoda Kamiq diesel. An error is stored in the error memory, and the tailgate no longer opens completely. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection to the component, specifically the hall sensor. Has anyone encountered this? Could this be the tailgate motor?

Hall sensor issue on the tailgate? I had something similar with my Kamiq. The tailgate wouldn't fully open and gave me an error. Check the wiring and plug connections to the tailgate motor. The hall sensor tells the tailgate control unit the position of the tailgate.

When you say 'similar', do you mean the same symptoms, a tailgate not fully opening and an error message? Was it definitely the wiring to the tailgate motor? Did you need sensor calibration after the repair?

Yep, same symptoms. The tailgate would stop short and the error was persistent. I didn't dig too deep myself, just took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the wiring to the tailgate motor, or more precisely, a corroded connector. No sensor calibration was needed afterwards, but I'd recommend a visit to the workshop for a proper diagnosis.

Took the Kamiq to the workshop. It was a defective connection in the tailgate motor wiring, just as suspected. 95€ later, the power tailgate works perfectly. Thanks for the confirmation!
