Skoda Kamiq rough running engine
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine and 136,918 km is experiencing rough running, a check engine light, and jerking during acceleration. The initial suspicion is a leak in the exhaust system, with potential causes also including issues with the crankshaft sensor or ignition coil. A similar case was resolved by addressing an exhaust issue, leading to the recommendation to have the exhaust system checked. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be an exhaust leak, which was repaired, resolving the engine's rough running.

Interesting. You mention you had a similar issue. Was it also throwing an error code? And what eventually fixed it for you?

Yes, it was throwing an error code too. I can't remember the exact code, but the garage diagnosed it. Honestly, I'm not mechanically gifted, so I just took it to the workshop. They sorted it out; I believe it was the exhaust. Best to get it checked properly.

Thanks for the input. Turns out it was a leak in the exhaust system, as suspected. Cost me 265€ to get it sorted. Runs smooth now.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Kamiq. Check engine light was on, and it was jerking when accelerating. I thought it was the crankshaft sensor or maybe even the ignition coil at first. Have you checked your air filter or when the timing belt and spark plugs were last changed? Just throwing some ideas out there.
