Skoda Kamiq rough start and terminal 30 error

I am stumped. My 2019 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. It's got 56301 km on the clock, and lately, it's been starting really rough. I'm getting an error pointing to 'Terminal 30 continuous plus interrupted'. I'm thinking it might be a heavily discharged or defective battery. Has anyone experienced something similar with their Kamiq? I've checked the battery connections, and they seem fine. Could this be related to the fuse box or some other electrical fault?

That sounds like what happened with my Kamiq. I recall the battery draining faster than it should have. Have you checked the fuse box for blown fuses related to the power supply? Has the circuit breaker ever tripped? This could indicate an electrical fault somewhere in the system affecting the charging system.

Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'fuse box', are you referring to the one under the hood or the one inside the cabin? Did you notice any other weird electrical issues before the battery died?

Yes, I meant the fuse box under the hood. I didn't dig too deep myself, as I'm not that experienced with electrical systems. I took it straight to a workshop to avoid making things worse. If the battery is heavily discharged the electrical fault could be anywhere. They ran a diagnostic and traced the problem to a defective battery. I would suggest a workshop visit as well.

It was a faulty battery. Replacing it resolved the starting issues. The total repair cost was around 290€. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.
