Skoda Kamiq starting issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine is experiencing a starting issue, displaying an error message about 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted,' suggesting a defective cable or plug connection. Possible causes include issues with the starter solenoid, battery terminal, or a blown fuse. The recommended solution is to check and secure connections around the battery and starter solenoid, or consult a workshop to address potential wiring faults. The problem was resolved by replacing a faulty cable, confirming the initial suspicion.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the starter solenoid located, and how would I check the battery terminal? I'm not super familiar with car mechanics, you know? Also, what do you mean by 'circuit break'?

Yeah, the starter solenoid is usually near the starter motor itself, kinda tucked away. Just make sure everything's tight and clean around the battery. By circuit break, I meant whether a fuse has blown or if something tripped. But honestly, with that specific error, it really does sound like a dodgy cable. For 95€, I'd just get it sorted at a workshop; tracing electrical faults can be a pain.

Wow, thanks a million for your help! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a faulty cable. They replaced it, and the car is starting perfectly now. The bill came to 95€, exactly as predicted. I really appreciate your help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Kamiq. Check the starter solenoid and the battery terminal first. A faulty connection there could cause that exact issue. Give it a wiggle and see if anything changes. Has it had a circuit break?
