Skoda Kamiq transmission issue

I'm experiencing a rather concerning issue with my 2023 Skoda Kamiq diesel. The transmission indicator light is illuminated, and the check engine light is also on. The automatic transmission has entered emergency mode, and the gear shifts are no longer smooth. I'm also hearing grinding noises during gear changes, and the gearbox seems to be slipping. An error is stored in the error memory, pointing towards a defective radiator oil pressure. Could a defective cable or plug connection of the component be the culprit?

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my Renault Megane, although it wasn't exactly the same. The transmission was acting up, and the check engine light was on. Did you check for any coolant leak? Sometimes a small leak can cause pressure issues. Could it be related to the pressure sensor on the radiator? Have you noticed any car overheating?

A coolant leak… that's interesting. I haven't specifically looked for that. Where exactly should I be looking for this leak, and how would I check the pressure sensor?

Okay, so with my Megane, the coolant leak was tiny, almost unnoticeable. I found it near the radiator hoses. As for the pressure sensor, I'm no expert, but if you suspect that, it might be best to get it checked professionally. I ended up taking my car to a workshop, and they did a leak detection test and confirmed it was a faulty sensor. Best to avoid potential further damage, right?

It was indeed a defective cable and plug connection to the pressure sensor, as suspected. Repair cost me 95€ Thanks for your help!
