Skoda Karoq AC Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Skoda Karoq with a diesel engine experienced an issue where the air conditioning (AC) stopped cooling and wouldn't switch on. The problem was suspected to be related to faulty valves in the AC system. After taking the vehicle to a workshop, it was confirmed that defective valves were indeed the cause, and the issue was resolved, restoring the AC's functionality.

Thanks for the quick reply! How would I check for a refrigerant leak myself? And I'm not sure about AC noise, I'll have to think back. Is there something specific I should be listening for?

Well, you probably won't be able to find a refrigerant leak without special equipment. I couldn't. If the AC isn't even switching on, and the blower is fine, then yeah, those valves could be the problem. Mine turned out to be faulty valves. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop. Could save you a lot of time and guessing.

Took it to the shop as you suggested. You were spot on! Defective valves in the AC system. Cost me around 1000€ to fix, but at least I have cold air again. Thanks a lot for your help!

That's a bummer! I had a similar issue with my Skoda (not Karoq, but still). The AC just quit working. First thing, have you checked for any obvious refrigerant leak? Also, is the blower motor working? Any weird AC noise before it stopped?
