Skoda Karoq Automatic Temperature Control Problem

My 2023 Skoda Karoq with a gasoline engine has a strange problem. The automatic temperature control stopped working. Mileage is at 237247 km. There's an error stored, and the AC won't switch on. I suspect a faulty interior temperature sensor, or maybe a defective cable or plug connection.

I had similar climate control issues with my old Volvo. The temperature reading was erratic. Have you checked the sensor diagnostics using an OBD2 scanner? It might give you a more specific error code.

Sensor diagnostics, got it. Anything specific I should look for besides the stored error?

The OBD2 scanner should show the exact sensor that's faulty. It pointed directly to the interior temperature sensor in my case. Since you suspect the cable, it’s best to have it checked at a workshop.

It was the temperature sensor cable after all. The workshop confirmed, fixed it, and billed me 95€. Climate control is back to normal. Thanks for the help.
