Skoda Karoq Blower Motor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Karoq owner experienced a blower motor malfunction, with diagnostics indicating a fault in the AUC sensor, likely due to a defective cable or plug connection. Another individual with a similar issue suggested checking the wiring and connections, particularly at the AUC sensor, for loose or corroded connectors. Upon inspection, a defective plug connection was found and repaired, resolving the issue and restoring climate control functionality.

When you mention checking the wiring and connections, are you referring specifically to the plug connection at the AUC sensor itself, or are there other points in the circuit I should inspect?

Yes, I was referring to the plug connection at the AUC sensor. In my case, that was indeed the problem. However, while you're inspecting, it would be prudent to examine the wiring harness in that immediate vicinity for any signs of damage or chafing. If the problem persists, a visit to a qualified workshop is probably unavoidable to rule out more complex issues with the climate control system.

The Skoda workshop found a defective plug connection on the AUC sensor, as you suggested. Repair cost was 95€. Climate control is working again. Your insights were invaluable.

I had a similar issue with my Karoq. The blower wouldn't operate, and diagnostics pointed to a fault with the HVAC sensor. It is often related to the air quality sensor, because they are connected. Have you checked the wiring and connections to the odor sensor? A loose or corroded connector can cause these symptoms. It might be worth investigating before replacing the entire sensor.
