Skoda Karoq Bumpy Ride Damping Error
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Skoda Karoq owner experienced a bumpy ride and a 'damping adjustment fault' error, likely due to a defective cable or plug connection in the car's damping system. Another owner suggested checking the plug connections on the dampers, as a similar issue was resolved by addressing a loose and corroded plug. The problem was fixed by cleaning the corroded plug, resolving the error and improving the ride quality.

Interesting! When you say 'plug connections', are you referring to the ones directly on the dampers themselves, or somewhere else in the vehicle suspension? And did your error code specifically mention damping adjustment, or was it more generic?

Yep, the connections on the dampers themselves. I think it was something along the lines of 'damper control circuit malfunction' – so, pretty similar. To be honest, I just took it to a workshop and let them sort it. They mentioned the plug was a bit loose and corroded. I wouldn't mess with suspension tuning myself.

Well, finally got it sorted! You were spot on about the connection. Turns out it was a slightly corroded plug on the damper itself. Cleaned it up, and the error's gone. Cost me 95€ at the local garage, but honestly, after that bouncy ride, it was worth every penny. Thanks a bunch for your help!

I also own a Karoq and had similar issues with the car handling. Not sure if it's exactly the same, but I had a warning light and a noticeably firmer ride. Have you checked the basic stuff like the plug connections to the suspension components? That was the culprit in my case. Might be worth a look before you dive into anything more complex.
