Skoda Karoq Cruise Control Problem

My 2021 Skoda Karoq diesel is playing up. The cruise control has just randomly stopped working. Now I get an error message on the speedometer whenever I start the car. Obviously, the cruise control itself doesn't engage at all. Error is stored too so it's a real fault. My guess is it's a defective cable or plug connection somewhere, but I'm not sure where to start looking.

Cruise control issues can be tricky. I had something similar with my Karoq. Did you check the throttle body? A faulty system there can sometimes throw errors related to the cruise control. Have you run full diagnostics to check the car electronics?

Throttle body eh? I've not looked at that specifically. What exactly should I be looking for on the throttle body and how does that link to the cruise control? The error message just says 'Cruise control faulty'. Diagnostics does point to an error, but not a specific part.

Yeah, same error message for me. I messed around with it for ages and it was beyond my skillset. Best bet is to get it to a workshop for proper diagnostics. Saved me loads of time in the long run.

Alright, thanks for the insight. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a dodgy cable connection to something to do with the cruise control. Diagnostics pointed to that, they fixed the connection and cleared the error memory. 95€ all in. Sorted!
